(JFRD) Firefighter Cadet Program |
The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department (JFRD) Is offering an opportunity for young adults to pursue a career in firefighting through the Firefighter Cadet Program. The program is 12 to 18 months long in which Cadet are required to become State Certified as a Firefighter & Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Cadets will be part-time employees and paid at rate of $10.00/hr. Upon successful completion of the program Cadets will be eligible for promotion to the rank of firefighter.
